An entrepreneur who takes the initiative, a connector, a pioneer, and someone with an affinity for development and learning. That’s how people describe you! In this position, you’ll take a leading role in creating and driving the development of the new English-language Circular Cities and Communities track (starting September 2025) of the Built Environment study programme. You’ll be the first point of contact for the international team that will develop and implement the track. You’ll also be responsible for marketing this new English-language track.

  • A relevant completed master's degree;
  • Educational (didactic) experience, both in terms of development and implementation;
  • Experience of project-based work in an international setting;
  • Excellent command of both Dutch and English;
  • Intercultural awareness;
  • Affinity with the theme of circularity (in the built environment) is a plus.

Together with your colleagues, you’ll want to deliver a study programme of the highest quality. This is a source of pride for you! You’ll coordinate this track with an eye for innovation, helping your colleagues make smart connections with existing study programmes and the Research Centre for Smart Urban Redesign. You enjoy working with subject matter experts and education developers to come up with a tight plan of action to take innovative ideas from concept to implementation. You’ll take care of the creation of a close-knit international community in which everyone feels seen.

As a project manager, you and your colleagues (lecturers and lecturer-researchers, support staff and management) will be affiliated with the School of Built Environment. You’ll contribute to the development and organisation of teaching and research in a professional, collegial and pleasant atmosphere. For this position, we’d like to offer a one-year contract worth 0.8 FTE to start. If things work out well on both sides, we’d be happy to look into the possibility of an extension.

The salary is up to scale 12 (as laid down in the Collective Agreement for Universities of Applied Sciences, CAO-HBO). Your salary scale will be based on your prior education and work experience. This means an amount of up to €6,899.86 gross per month based on full-time employment. On top of this, you’ll receive a holiday allowance of 8%, a year-end bonus of 8.3%, plenty of holidays, professionalisation and sustainable career deployment hours and a comprehensive vitality offer.

In case of good performance and continued need, we’d like to explore whether a career development path to the position of Head of Programme (scale 13 CAO-HBO, maximum €7,207.59 gross per month based on full-time appointment) is an option. Internal candidates will have their current terms and conditions of employment respected.
