The function

Due to the strong growth of the company, we are looking for a

SALES ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE (m/f)

DACH region Home Office possible

The role is focused on managing sales of the ORBCOMM product lines in the DACH region. This includes direct sales development and Indirect sales through this organization, however, the role will also be:

The key tasks & responsibilities for this position are to:
  • Manage a regional customer base in the EMEA Sales organization. In close collaboration with the Sales team and its leadership
  • Define and drive implementation plans for the sales strategies to grow the business
  • Recommend improvement actions
  • Approach and develop leads into customers, negotiating and contracting deals in your region
  • Support to establish the brand image of ORBCOMM in the EMEA market (incl: participating events)
  • Contribute to defining, improving and enhancing the telematics product services portfolio certification
  • Make an active contribution to increase ORBCOMM brand awareness in EMEA
  • Will increase the market position of ORBCOMM in a strategic manner to further develop business in his/her territory, but not just limited to the assigned customers
  • Provide analysis, comparing ORCOMM to competing companies
  • Acquire commitment with existing customers of ORBCOMM and to deliver new customers, while you can perform the contract negotiations on behalf ORBCOMM, with the caveat that ORBCOMM must approve the result of the negotiations prior to signing the contract
  • Coordinate/participate and conduct marketing campaigns and public relations events
  • Present corporate presentations to customers
  • Provide training for the customers
  • Other tasks that fit in the pursuit of the business development for ORBCOMM, at the discretion of the parties
Job requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in telecommunications, technology, or information industries/IoT solutions
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in related field of study required
  • Ability to demonstrate track record of success in sales
  • Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment
  • Experience in: - Telecommunications, technology or information industries and/or - Experience in Transport Management or ERP solution
  • Knowledge about: - Transportation & Logistics market and/or - Cold-Chain knowledge and/or - ORBCOMM product knowledge
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Native of near in German (writen and spoken)
  • Multiple languages is a plus
  • Travel up to 70% of the time
  • Able to work in a multicultural environment
  • Able to work with cross functional teams
