Design Engineer High Pressure Systems
Who we are:
NPROXX is a global leader in designing, developing and manufacturing Type 4 pressure vessels for the storage of hydrogen under high pressure. Based on 40 year experience in carbon-fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP) products and systems in various industries NPROXX provides composite tank systems and tailor made solutions for hydrogen storage applications: Transport and storage (up to 500 bar), Heavy duty vehicles (350 bar), Automotive (700 bar). NPROXX has its head office in Heerlen (the Netherlands) and its manufacturing organization in Julich (Germany). NPROXX, originally a split off from Enrichment Technologies Company (ETC), is presently an independent BV, owned for 50% by ETC and for 50% by Cummins Inc.
General:
NPROXX is looking for a System Design Engineer who takes the responsibility for the design of high-pressure systems for our clients and projects. As a Design Engineer you are preparing CAD models and drawings of high-pressure systems, design frames and connection to vehicles and pressure vessels, and select the right components. As a System Design Engineer, you will be part of our Design Office, and a member of our Technology department.
Your tasks:
- Design of pressure vessel and gas system parts
- Preparation of assembly and detail drawings
- Preparation and maintenance of BOMs
- Document change management
- Meet applicable standards
- Optimization of designs concerning functionality, weight and costs
- Customization of standard solutions
- Preparing CAD models and drawings of high-pressure systems (CAD / NX experience required)
- Design frames and connection (pipeline construction) to vehicles and pressure vessels
- Components selection
- Execution of design changes
- Machine parts design (FKM, Screw design)
- Stay on top of relevant regulations on the market for pressured systems
- You advise and consult with the production and project owners on the construction
- Support new projects and NPROXX design team providing product portfolio
- Administration support for Teamcenter
Your Profile:
- Completed technical school or Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering
- Five+ years of experience as product designer
- Very good CAD-skills and demonstrable experience
- Very good MS-Office and IT-skills and NX experience
- Responsible behavior and structured working method with good problem-solving skills
- Completed apprenticeship as technical draftsperson desirable
- High social competence and communication skills in German and English
- Experience in automotive sector desirable
- International experience desirable
- Good presentation skills
- Good analytical thinking, good self-organization
- You seek optimization and continuous improvement
- You are hands on, stress resistant and well organized
- Lives in the area or willing to relocate
