Our current Value Added Services teams consist of 130 operators and 4 supervisors who, every day, drive excellent execution to meet our premium quality standards and put our patients first in everything we do. To give the right operational focus we are currently looking for a logistics supervisor to support our processes and manage the development of our people.
A Day in the Life
We offer you a position where you provide leadership and direction to the VAS department within the Medtronic Distribution Center of Heerlen.
As supervisor you are in charge for the development of your team members (80% of your time).-You hold the responsibility of the well-being and career path of the operators-You secure day-to-day output according to our agreements made with our stakeholders-You have a strong focus on people to match our people’s potential with our organizational needs-You support our Continuous Improvement culture by enabling an everybody, every day mindset for our operators-You understand the company’s vision and drive initiatives to further deploy this in our department
Within operational departments the working hours vary between 7 and 22 hour and you and your team are responsible for following main activities (20% of your time):
Value Added Services:
-Packaging & Customizing: final pack of semi-finished medical products and kitting multiple products in one box-Rework: repack of damages, reconfigurations, battery recharge and relabelling-Spine Loaner Services: cleaning / disinfection, inspection, replenishment and shipping of Spinal loaner sets-BioPharma: handle receipt, storage, shipping and returns of pharmaceutical products
Must Haves
-Minimum MBO degree, preferably HBO-3 to 5 years of experience in a dynamic environment, preferably in logistics or production-Excellent command of Dutch & English-People management skills-Clear communication skills to as well employees, leaders as multiple stakeholders-Influencing, convincing and motivating skills-Results orientation: driving to deadlines, KPI targets, & compliance-Ability to prioritize, plan and execute to the best of the company-Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously-Ability to make decisions and take swift actions
Nice to Haves
-Preferably HBO, Bachelor degree-Lean / six sigma experience-Similar experience within a medical device environment
